Getting Married In Whistler, BC

If you're dreaming of a wedding surrounded by mountains, alpine lakes, and breathtaking views, getting married in Whistler is an incredible choice. This world-renowned resort town is the perfect place for an intimate elopement or small wedding, offering adventure and beauty in every season.

Why Get Married In Whistler?

Most people think of Whistler as a winter sports destination, but this mountain town has something magical to offer all year round. Whether you’re imagining a cozy snow-covered ceremony or a lakeside summer vow exchange, Whistler is the ultimate place to say “I do.”

Choose A Date

Start by choosing when you want to get married. Being a mountain town, the weather can change quickly and be a bit more unpredictable than in the city, but Whistler still has 4 distinct seasons for you to choose from.

Best TimeOf Year To Get Married In Whistler

Winter

Winter in Whistler is magical—imagine snow-covered trees, sparkling lights, and breathtaking mountaintop views. It’s perfect for a cozy, romantic elopement.

Spring

As the snow melts, Whistler transforms into a blooming paradise. Wildflowers like purple foxgloves come alive, and waterfalls flow at full force. It's the perfect time for adventurous couples to explore alpine lakes and trails since there are fewer tourists.

Summer

Summer weddings in Whistler mean blue skies, warm sunshine, and endless outdoor opportunities. Exchange vows at the summit of Whistler Blackcomb or spend the day hopping between pristine lakes to stay cool.

Fall

Fall’s cooler weather and fiery foliage create a stunning backdrop for your big day. Another quieter time of year in terms of crowds, the vibrant oranges, reds, and yellows are perfect for couples who love summer vibes without the heat.

Hire A Photographer

Eloping, especially if you’re planning a just-us experience, means there aren’t going to be any iPhone videos and/or photos of your day. So in my books, that makes hiring a wedding photographer a must!

And since elopements and micro weddings are way smaller in size, wedding photographers like myself can help you find a really cool location that fits your vibes and accommodates your guests if you’re inviting any.

I also help you create a wedding day timeline that is relaxed and stress-free. As a project manager in a past life, I love a good timeline and colour-coded spreadsheet!

I’m here to help keep your day fun, light, and everything you could dream of and of course, to document the crap out of it!
