3 Reasons to Choose Full-Day Elopement Photography Packages

Especially when it comes to elopement weddings, it’s so important to opt in to the things that make your day feel complete and special. You don’t need to cut corners or compromise on anything just because it’s “not a full-sized wedding.” In fact, it’s the opposite! Going with a small, intimate wedding gives you even more permission to go all out on the details!

Your elopement is just as special as a big wedding, and your photography coverage should be just as complete. If you’re still deciding on exactly how much coverage you need, here are three reasons to go with a full-day elopement photography package!

#1 You Get To Celebrate From Sun-Up to Sun-Down

This is your one and only wedding day, so I say milk it! Make the most of these hours and celebrate from morning to night. This way, as you live out your best day ever, nothing gets missed. I’ll be there tirelessly documenting your dream day, so you can enjoy it in the moment and relive it as many times as you want to in the years to come.

A full-day elopement package means that you get a full 8+ hours of photography. Just imagine the images you can get in that amount of time! We’re talkin’ different poses, different looks, different parts of the day, different locations, some fun shots, some crazy shots, some top-of-a-mountain shots, some post-mountain-brewery-cheers-shots, some cozy pajama shots once the day is done--- you name it and, in a full-day, I can capture it.

The beauty of an elopement is the flexibility you have to stop and take it all in. We’ll have seemingly endless time to explore the locations you choose. And, we have time to just chill/take lots of breaks. (For me. I need the breaks. #outofshape)

#2 You’ll Get Posed Portraits AND Candid Shots

Before we get into this one, lemme clear something up: you won’t be on camera all day! It’s totally possible to get a full-day of photos without feeling like you’re holding awkward picture-day poses all day long.

Of course, in certain moments and locations, we’ll spend time getting those perfectly-posed romantic portraits and family photos. In these moments, we’ll definitely take the photography more seriously. But don’t worry-- we never take ourselves too seriously! You can expect lots of laughter, love, and fun.

The rest of the time, you’ll be at ease focusing on the views, each other, and the moment. My goal is to capture your day as it naturally unfolds, so a lot of the day is documented in a photojournalistic style. Your ceremony and first looks in particular will always be candid, so that your genuine emotions and reactions are the focus.

And, just like with a big wedding, some parts of the day aren’t photographed at all. You get built-in breaks when we travel between venues, when we stop to eat, and whenever else you damn well please because this is your day! (Haha)

#3 You Freakin’ Deserve It!

Excuse me while I step onto my soapbox for sec *clears throat*

Your elopement is AS special as a big wedding!

Full stop. End of sentence. It’s not a half wedding, it’s not less important, and-- even if you do save a little cash on it-- it’s not a budget version of a full wedding.

I know you likely already know this, but I’m repeating it anyway, just in case a loving family member or a passive-aggressive comment has planted even the tiniest seed of doubt in your mind.

No matter how you decide to get married and who you invite, this is still your first day as a married couple, and it’s a huge milestone. It deserves your perfect idea of a celebration. And, it’s something I’m sure you never want to forget.

Say it with me: My elopement deserves a proper celebration!
